The Motor City Radio Club is a very active amateur radio club.  We hold many events every year.  We provide communication services to the Downriver Cycling Club's Metro Grand Spring Tour in May and the Detroit Free Press Marathon in October. We are an ARRL VEC approved testing club and schedule eight FCC Amateur Radio License exam sessions per year. We conduct ham radio demonstrations at Boy Scout outings.  Our club participates in "Fox Hunts" monthly during the months of May thru October, which allow us to practice our transmitter hunting skills.  Our participation in the annual ARRL Field Day has been a tradition since the earliest days of our club.  We are also participants in the Sweepstakes CW contest, Sweepstakes Phone Contest, as well as the Michigan QSO Party.  We also hold other special event stations, such as the Trenton Mid-Summer Festival.  Check out our Event Calendar to see what we have planned for this year.

Membership in the Motor City Radio Club is open to all interested persons who wish to help promote Amateur Radio on the in the Detroit Metro Area.  Members receive the club newsletter in the mail and have voting privileges.  Anyone can participate in all club events.
